An American election is unresolved. Both candidates claim victory. News channels announce the result, evem though eight states are still verifying. Republican supporters spill out onto the streets in victory celebration, but then the shooting starts. Within days, fires rage across many US cities. Civil strife is widespread. The banks and markets stand closed.
In London, BBC reporter Jane Clark is a woman on a mission. Hailing from the streets of Edinburgh, she headed for London, determined to smash any glass ceiling that was put in her way. She’s already reached the heady heights of a political correspondent role, but Jane wants more.
