In the New America series, an American election is unresolved. Both candidates claim victory. News channels announce the result, evem though eight states are still verifying. Republican supporters spill out onto the streets in victory celebration, but then the shooting starts. Within days, fires rage across many US cities. Civil strife is widespread. The banks and markets stand closed.

In London, BBC reporter Jane Clark is a woman on a mission. Hailing from the streets of Edinburgh, she headed for London, determined to smash any glass ceiling that was put in her way. She’s already reached the heady heights of a political correspondent role, but Jane wants more.
Brother of Jane, Duncan Clark is content to be an Edinburgh lawyer. He likes the quiet life and although he avidly follows the news of the troubles in America, he hardly believes that they will come knocking at his very door.
The books
There are three books written. “When America Sneezes” is Book 1. “To Rule Britannia,” Book 2 ,and Book 3 is, “When the Sun Sets on the West.”
This site
While book 1 is mainly concerned with the characters in the UK, as the series goes on, the story expands to cover a wider field. The action takes place in Russia, the USA, Kuwait and across Europe. Events spiral out of control, leading to all out conflict in book 5. (As yet uncompleted.)
