Our story…
Confluence was first published in August 2016 as a limited edition Risograph printed A4 zine, Issue 2 was produced as an online only version linked to our regular text-art project ‘An Assemblance of Judicious Heretics’, then two more Risograph printed issues, (3 and 4), were produced.
We were delighted that as part of our Arts Council England funded Confluence: Plant; Grow; Nurture project (2017-18), we have been able to redesign the magazine and change its look, it’s now published in full colour and fits nicely in your bag. We’ve also begun to let people in other parts of the country (the world even!) know about Confluence.
Although we had some funding to contribute to the magazine’s upkeep (Issues 5-8) and make this website as part of the project, we still rely mainly on volunteers, and on subscriptions and sales. So if you like what you see – please consider subscribing or buying an issue. (If you don’t fancy buying one, then please tell your reader friends about us and share our social media posts.) Thanks!
